Boosts and Strengthens Metabolism, Vitality, Digestion, and Intestinal Health∗
Enzyme Activity = Metabolism & Metabolism = Enzyme Activity
N-Sorb™ Enzyme Activity Metabolism
Modern cultures have not eaten a large amount of raw foods for thousands of years. Heat-treatment of our foods by cooking entered our culture in primitive times, destroying the enzymes in food. Today, the consumption of agribusiness-produced, refined, processed, nutrient-deficient, and enzyme-depleted cooked foods has overburdened our bodies' abilities to efficiently and effectively digest and process these types of foods.
Since enzymes have been eliminated from the vast majority of the foods we eat, the body must "Rob Peter to Pay Paul", essentially stealing enzymes away from other important functions (i.e. antioxidant, metabolic, immune functions, etc.) to supply them to the saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice, intestinal juice, etc., to support digestion. Metabolism profoundly suffers, causing our bodies to deteriorate, putting them into a state of survival panic.

Modern cultures have not eaten a large amount of raw foods for thousands of years. Moreover, heat-treatment of our foods by cooking entered our culture in primitive times, destroying the enzymes in food. Today, the life-long consumption of agribusiness-produced, refined, processed, nutrient-deficient, and enzyme-depleted cooked foods has overburdened our bodies' abilities to efficiently and effectively digest and process (disintegrate, dissolve, absorb, utilize, and dispose of) consumed foods. Enzymes in our foods have vanished. Metabolism has profoundly suffered, causing our bodies to deteriorate, putting them into a state of survival panic.
Enzymes are crucial to life. In fact, enzymes are substances that make life possible. They are needed for every chemical reaction of metabolism that occurs in our bodies. Without enzymes, no activity at all would take place. Neither vitamins, probiotics, minerals or hormones can do any work without enzymes. The faster you use up your supply of enzyme activity, the quicker you will run out, begin to lose your health.
If enzymes are not in the food we eat, the body is overburdened to manufacture and supply many enzymes to the saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice, intestinal juice, etc. It must then consistently and excessively rob the production of enzymes away from other purposes. If enzymes were in the food we eat, they would do some or even a large part of the work of digestion by themselves. However, when we eat cooked, enzyme-free food, this forces the body itself to make as many enzymes as possible to meet the needs for digestion and other subordinate purposes. This depletes the body's limited enzyme capacity and leads to enzyme (metabolic) exhaustion.
So, what is actually meant by the word 'metabolism'?
Metabolism is the total of all chemical processes that occur within a living organism in order to maintain life. All of these chemical transactions in the body leading up to the spontaneous production (respiratory burst) of energy, are executed by a vast array of enzymes.
You live as long as your body has enzyme activity factors from which to make enzymes; and to the extent that you spare your body's enzyme potential. Again, and importantly, enzyme deficient food overburdens our enzyme needs and leads to enzyme depletion (metabolic exhaustion), premature aging and is a very signficant contributor to chronic degenerative disease.1,2,3,4
But, the ongoing and ever-progressive process of enzyme depletion, characterized by 'metabolic fatigue', is evidenced by a number of indicators, such as:
- Reduced endurance
- Reduced motivation
- Sluggishness & increased fatigue
- Increased food intake
- Reduced stress tolerance
- Excess inflammation, tissue damage, organ distress & failure, etc.
The chronic 'metabolic' distress and resulting metabolic fatigue triggers a chronic state of genetic survival panic. In this state, in efforts to not overburden biological functions, your body tries to conserve energy. This is a major reason why your cells try to:
- Reduce energy production and expenditure (aka 'energy conservation' - resulting in a vicious cycle of ever-increasing metabolic fatigue)
- Increase energy storage as fat and glycogen (survival insurance)
- Increase cravings to increase energy intake (generally as overconsuming fat and/or carbs)
The human digestive organs are burdened with enzyme production far in excess of any creature living on a raw food diet. The problem of metabolic fatigue cannot be corrected by medication or exercise. Without active living enzymes (from live foods and/or supplemental sources), the human body must inevitably handle the entire burden of producing all the enzymes on its own, exacting an exhausting toll and resulting in the issues mentioned above ...and much more.
First, eat a truly healthy diet of fresh organic produce, fish, poultry, various 'reddish' meats (in order of importance) and drink pure clean water. A dietary supplement solution involves nourishing the body with "Nutrition That Get In."
Another effective solution is introducing the 'enzymes of life' into the body where they can alleviate various aspects of metabolic overburdening and 'Revitalize Metabolism'.
Fortunately, there is now a way to combat the consequences of eating refined, processed, and heated enzyme-deficient foods. There is a way to replenish your body's enzyme needs and bolster every aspect of your metabolism.

Q Is N-Sorb a digestive enzyme product?
A Not really. While it does "Boost Metabolism and Support Digestion", it does so by gaining rapid access to the blood and ALL the body's trillions of cells. It does contain enzymes that have the same name as most digestive enzymes. But, these enzymes are most active and beneficial in a more alkaline pH than the acidic environment of the stomach.
Q There are a lot of enzyme products on the market that contain the same or similar protease, amylase, lipase, etc. types of enzymes. What makes N-Sorb's Diet Essential enzymes so different?
A Most of these types of enzymes are designated as 'digestive enzymes' because they are targeted at acting on, (i.e. disintegrating and disolving) foods containing proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, etc., primarily in the acidic pH of the stomach. N-Sorb's Diet Essential enzymes are targeted at working in more alkaline pH tissues. This is why they are also Prodosomed; to achieve rapid entry into the blood and redistribution to the body's tissues where they can boost cellular metabolism.
Q What happens if I don't take N-Sorb on an empty stomach?
A There is no harm in taking N-Sorb with food. However, the enzymatic action in the stomach will not be as aggressive as if taking a 'digestive enzyme'. Digestive enzymes are generally activated in a stomach pH between 2 and 5.5. N-Sorb's enzymes are activated at pH levels between 6.5 and 8.5; much more alkaline...like the blood and tissues. Therefore, the metabolism-boosting effects of N-Sorb could be diminished and, while some of the enzymes could be used up in the digestive process, many of enzymes will most likely pass intact through to the intestines where additional enzymatic activity could occur.
Q How should N-Sorb be stored?
A Once N-Sorb is opened, it is best to keep it in the refrigerator and away from light, heat, and humidity.
